Accredited Online Colleges
Comfort and Convenience Are King

Accredited online colleges and online universities are exciting alternatives for traditional 'brick and mortar' options. DeVry University and Virginia College provide great options for the busy, ambitious online student. Other (more traditional) schools, like George Washington University also offer great online degrees.

But before we get further into our discussion, we must first dispel one myth:

Courses at these schools are not less expensive than courses at traditional colleges.

Both online and offline colleges offer the same degrees, why would online courses be any cheaper?

That said, there are a number of perks (including financial) to enrolling in classes online. Most importantly, college on the internet equals flexibility.

You're a busy professional. Or a Mom. Or you're working odd jobs at eight different department stores. Time is your most precious commodity. Classes at the University of Phoenix or other popular online schools might be just be perfect for you.

With accredited online colleges, you don't need to dedicate a whole semester, like you would at a real-world school. You have the freedom to take one course at a time, slowly building your ladder to success.

Now for the financial perks! As mentioned above, online courses cost as much as traditional courses. This cost is about $800/course - -with books and other supplies, that's $7,000-$8,000 a semester.

But that's it. At traditional schools, you'd have tons of extra costs. Most significantly, room and board, which can sometimes double or even triple the cost of your education investment.

As an added bonus, if you have a job in business or a wide variety of other fields, your company may have a program that pays for or subsidizes your online degree.

All that, plus you get to go to school in your pajamas! Okay, real-world students do it too, but you get the point. Comfort and convenience are king with online schools.

Learn at your own pace and follow your own path to success. At the end of the day, you'll have a real, bonafide college (or graduate) degree. That can't be beat.

You can even enroll online at a number of established and reputable traditional schools, like: Boston University and Norwich University That said, you've got a difficult decision process ahead of you. With so many accredited online colleges, how do you know which one is right for you?
