All You Need to Know About
Colleges and Universities

This site is your one stop shop for information about colleges and universities. As a recent graduate of Duke University, I know how important it is to love your school. I truly loved my four years, and I want to help you find the right place for you too.

It's very important to choose your college or university carefully. If you go some place that's not right for you, you could suffer academically and socially.

But if you take time now, as you're applying, you'll definitely find a few excellent options.

This site will provide tons of useful information on tons of schools. One unique aspect of this site is that whenever possible, I'll interview past and current students and include their thoughts on these institutions.

All that along with articles and facts about academics, statistics and tuition.

To start, we'll cover some of the most popular college options and destinations:

  • Accredited Online Colleges
  • Texas Universities
  • Florida Universities
  • California Universities
  • New York Colleges

Over time, every school will be listed. Including:

  • University of Phoenix
  • Columbia University
  • York University
  • Boston University

It might not happen over night, but I'll work hard to bring you quality, honest information about all of the colleges and universities out there.

Picking on the right college is a very tough decision, and it's an important one. So when you're on this site, take you're time. Read carefully and consider every aspect of each school you might apply to. There are many factors that go into each person's 'perfect college.'

Be sure to ask yourself at least these questions as you read about each college:

1) Is this a big school or a small school?

This is an important decision. Depending on your personality or background, either option could be good for you.

For example, if you're from a small town, a smaller school might be a better fit for you. Smaller classes, more personal attention, and fewer crowds. Conversely, you might be ready to shed your small town perspective for a big city. That's fine too, but make sure you know where you fall on this issue.

2) What is unique about this school?

Every institution has it's own identity, look, feel and 'vibe.' The best way to assess this is by visiting the campus. But we've done our best to include unique features of each school in our articles.

3) How far is this school from family and friends?

For many students, it is very important to be able to visit home on the weekends or for holidays. If you are one of these students, you should look into the state schools in your area.

On the other hand, if you aren't too concerned about being nearby, that's important too. You can then look into way more colleges and universities, with almost no limits on where you can go.

For those of you who are interested in traveling far from home for your college education, check back here often, as international colleges and universities will eventually be featured on this site.

4) What is the cost of school here?

Discuss your financial options with your parents and guidance counselor. Figure out exactly how much you can spend on college, and what your financial aid and student loan options are, and choose your school accordingly.

Ask those questions of each school you consider. Assess your answers, giving proper weight to each, and you'll be well on your way to finding the ideal place to live and learn over the next four years.
